We have recently supplied two shrink wrapping lines to the Wakefield site of the Charlesworth Group, a leading UK supplier of print and publishing services, with overseas offices in China and the USA.
Both machinery lines were supplied to replace existing shrink wrappers in a recent drive to improve efficiency as part of major expansion plans. We supplied and installed a TSLA 50x40 semi-automatic combination ‘L’ sealer and shrink tunnel and a modified SVA 60x35 fully automatic side feed sleeve sealer and shrink tunnel.
A custom infeed for reliable shrink wrapping
The sleeve wrapper is equipped with a specially modified infeed arrangement to handle loose collated products, comfortably and reliably, at speeds up to 20 packs per minute.
Charlesworth are shrink wrapping various stacks of printed material; books, journals, and brochures etc. and a standard system could have caused pusher plate used to push the product into the shrink film to not always catch the bottom book. To ensue this always happened as it should we built an infeed arrangement consisting of a set of rollers. This allows the pusher plate to push the product in between these rollers thus ensuring 100% reliability shrink wrapping a variety of printed products.
